The first time I came across essential oils was back in 1991 when I was living in the Bay Area. A waft of patchouli lingered in the air as I rode my bicycle along the streets of the Mission District. I applied different essential oils on my body and clothes and around my apartment to breathe in the aromas that made me feel light-hearted and carefree. From that moment on, I fell in love with essential oils and could never use synthetic perfumes again.
Fast forward to a new millennium and in 2020 we landed in the midst of a the COVID-19 pandemic. As with everyone the pandemic altered my life and lifestyle. But It also gave me the opportunity to dive deep into the ancient knowledge and healing properties of certified organic, wild-crafted essential oils, carrier oils, and butters.
Why We're Green
Since the 1980s I've participated in numerous grassroots organizations, non-profits, and student movements involved in a variety of social and environmental issues. Many of my friends and associates know that my heart is for the people, other life entities, and the planet. It's our home after all, and there is no other home at this time. It's that simple. Holding our politicians responsible and accountable on every level as the climate changes powered by human actions, and encouraging everyone to engage in a zero-waste lifestyle no matter what level of engagement they are at at is crucial. Earth is our spiraling spaceship in this vast universe, and we humans need to take care of her if we want to remain in existence.
