At their Goleta location, Backyard Bowls continues to maintain the same philosophy the practice at their Santa Barbara shop. When opening their new location in Goleta, they started off with just a shell of a space.
Why We're Green
They chose to follow the guidelines of the Green Business Program to set up their shop. They found it much easier to "do it right the first time" the second time around. They started with all new Energy Star-rated appliances and also installed a dual-flush toilet in their restroom. Other programs stayed the same including purchasing environmentally preferable office and food service supplies and their employee ridesharing program.
