About
Celebrating coastal creative culture, Indoek presents a curated perspective and aesthetic to the surfing lifestyle. Born out of a passion for aquatic activities and a frustration with an industry that tends to misrepresent them, our goal is to elevate surf culture and champion the creative personalities who have shaped it over the years. We started as a blog (back when that was a thing), then evolved into a publisher of original content, we’ve dabbled in unique product collaborations, and our next chapter is now a physical space that will serve primarily as an art gallery and creative hub in Ventura County, California.
Why We're Green
We are green because we have been committed from the beginning to operating in an environmentally sustainable way whenever possible- using minimal, recyclable packaging, for online orders, brand partnerships with sustainable clothing manufacturers for our merchandise, and utilizing digital receipts and QR codes in place of paper. We did overcome some environmental challenges by expanding access to recycling with more bins for our events, as well as switching out single-use plastic cups to recyclable aluminum cups. We also switched out trash can liners from plastic to compostable liners and traded out what standard cleaning and paper products we were using for environmentally friendly products.
