Kitsap Bank- Port Townsend Branch

About

Kitsap Bank is a proudly independent, multi-generational family-owned bank. Founded in the small community of Port Orchard in 1908, we have expanded our presence throughout the Pacific Northwest and continue to grow by remaining connected to our deep local roots.
We are committed to our communities, contributing to crucial causes, and investing in the sustainability of our region. At Kitsap Bank, we have always been focused on the long-term effects of our work. We have served generations of families, and we are committed to doing the right thing for this generation and the next, including protecting our limited resources and being responsible stewards.

Why We're Green

Our commitment to reducing our environmental impact through energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable practices not only makes good business sense but also respects our community and environment. Our branch was designed with environmentally conscious features, including solar panels that significantly contribute to our energy needs. In replacing our former branch of 50 years, we created a gathering space for the community, utilizing materials from the old branch that were recycled and repurposed for the new location. Our paper reduction initiatives, such as promoting eStatements and using recycled-content paper, have cut paper usage and delivery emissions. Significant investments in technology have enhanced our banking services, decreasing the need for customer travel and further reducing carbon emissions. These efforts reflect our mission to protect the community for future generations while supporting conscientious nonprofits to promote sustainable awareness/responsibility.
